Challenge
Our biggest challenge was how to use the natural features of the Nippising Ridge, which bisects many of the golf holes, in the best possible way. Should it be graded significantly and possibly eliminate the natural features or should it remain unaltered in its primitive state?

Solution
A routing and design was created to keep as many facets of the ridge in play as possible. Grading was kept to a minimum to maintain the natural features and the views.

Result
Located high on heavily-forested Nipissing Ridge overlooking the Georgian Bay at the south end of Lake Huron two hours from Toronto, the views in any direction are incredible and the golf magical. Precisely-placed jagged bunkering creep into the play line on many holes and the green complexes are full of movement. This new creation was named as one of the top ten new courses in the world for 2006 by Travel & Leisure Golf.
