Our philosophy is to offer good golf first. We want to create a course that is a great golf experience and with the help and vision of the owners we like golf to be part of a great day as well. We want players to be tempted and teased into wanting to play it over and over again. That's the beauty of great golf. We do not design courses and compare them to others, we design the best course for each site and we evaluate how successfully we have accomplished that.

A Lehman Design Group course offers artistry in design as well as being aesthetically pleasing to the eye. While it is difficult to have a new course appear to have been there for generations, we work diligently on our designs so that our courses will be viewed favorably for generations to come. We use bunkering as a device that can be used strategically and that can add challenge to the best of shots. We like to see golfers think and execute their shots, something every golfer is capable of. We like to offer hope that the next shot can redeem ones past mistakes. We love to use bumps and rolls throughout the fairway and have those flow into the subtle lines in and around the putting surface. This type of golf requires a careful reading and a sure stroke that will be rewarded with success.
